4Life Research has a long history of conducting studies on products and ingredients, with a strong focus on launching new products. Of course, that includes 25 years of research on our most important ingredient: 4Life Transfer Factor®.
That being said, we also conduct studies on 4Life products that have already been launched. We recently conducted a study on 4Life Essential Fatty Acid Complex, where we looked for immune system benefits found in omega 3 and omega 6 oils called specialized pro-resolving mediators (SPMs).
SPMs include specific molecules called resolvins and protectins which are created from polyunsaturated fatty acid metabolism.* SPMs are powerful cell-signaling molecules that are produced by many types of cells in the body, including cells of the adaptive immune system. Emerging research suggests that SPMs support the immune systems’ response.^* SPMs are present in very low concentrations, so it takes very sophisticated techniques and equipment to find and measure them. In our research, we partnered with an independent lab in Germany that specifically tests for SPMs to determine their amount in 4Life Essential Fatty Acid Complex. We also tested other competitor products to determine how 4Life compared to leading brands that claim the same benefits.
This study showed that 4Life Essential Fatty Acid Complex has superior levels of SPMs to support immune system response.^* In fact, the lab found more than double the amount of SPMs compared to the leading brands. This is even more impressive when you consider that the closest competitor has a price tag of three times the cost of 4Life Essential Fatty Acid Complex!*
This new discovery is yet another reason why Science is one of our core values at 4Life. After all, Research is in our name!
